Just not my favorite author, but do recommend it for reading. Shows how God uses whom He will. Read sample first.
This is a great book for pastors who are in the ministry. It helps ministers to reflect on their calling, the purpose of ministry, challenges that come with ministry and how to overcome these challenges. I enjoy reading the book and I highly recommend it!!
Jowett has a high view of the office of pastor and in this volume he invites those called to this high office to rise above their peers in devotion to Christ and their call.
This is an excellent work written long ago but just as needed today. I would recommend this to anyone seeking counsel in the ministry.
I have loved this book for 20+ years since I bought it in paperback.
Though this is an old book, it still contains some sound wisdom for the new preacher and is well worth the read. I highly recommend it.
